Cupcakes – By Mira Paz

Cupcakes

On a cold, Saturday afternoon Dakota, Leah and I decided to make cupcakes to brighten up  the mood. Since for our birthday Leah and I got a lot of cupcake supplies like batter and frosting, we were ready to go. First, we got out the mix and all the ingredients and we got two big bowls to mix the batter in. Then we mixed and mixed till our arms hurt. After that, we put the mini cupcakes wrappers and the regular cupcake wrappers into the pans. Next, we waited and waited with the good taunting aroma of cupcakes filling the air.

When the sound of the oven beeping told us that the cupcakes were done, we were so happy and excited. Dakota, Leah, and I raced to the oven looking into the gooey yummy cupcakes right in front of our eyes. We let them cool for a while. As they were cooling, we put the food coloring in the frosting. The soft quiet breathing and the dripping sound of food coloring going into the frosting is all I could hear in that moment. Finally, we got the piping bags out and put the frosting in them, and then all started to frost the cupcakes. After a while, the frosting started coming out the top of the piping bags and the gooey, oozing topping made a mess falling everywhere. I could smell the sweet, sugary and delicious smell of the frosting and cupcakes in the whole kitchen.

After we were done frosting the sweet cupcakes with the gooey topping, we decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles. We got the sprinkles out and we started to decorate the cupcakes. After decorating five cupcakes the sprinkles were falling everywhere. The rainbow sprinkles were falling delicately on the tables and on the cupcakes.

Finally, we finished everything and the best part came …. tasting the cupcakes.! We each picked out a cupcake and bit into it. They were delicious. The light airy taste made the cupcakes taste like heaven. They were probably the best cupcakes I have ever made, and to spend it with my friends was even better.
