The Cost Of Challah – By Sarah

To defy someone’s rights of free religion is a violation of human rights. During the years 1939 through 1945, the Jewish people were prosecuted and put in concentration camps. Today that would be a violation of human rights, but some time ago when the Holocaust happened  is was not raised up on a gold platter but it was still legal. Germany was in a large amount of debt at the time. What happens sometimes when a country falls into debt they decide to take their anger out on a group of people or culture. In this case, it was the Jewish people. The Nazis, as they were called, decided to take their anger out in in a horrible way. They put the Jews in concentration camps where they had to work with no pay, very bad conditions and little food. The Holocaust killed about  two and a half million Jewish people.

One big thing that stopped the Nazis was the resistance and the allies of the Jews. Lots of places had resistance, like Denmark, France, Holland and many Scandinavian Counties. The resistance in all countries boned trains, stole from nozie camps and protected the prosicuted people. The after some time more people began to take a stand, more and more people joined the rebellion and work to help stop good from getting to germany and messages from germany to the nozie camps. When the resistance would balm train because the train usually had firearms going state to the nozies or as said for goods for germany. This made a big impact in the holocaust.

After time the madness came to a stop. The jews who had fled to Sweden returned home. People had the sabbath diner in peace. With home made challah that was made with eggs, sugar and flower. Which were all things that the european jews went on a shortage of huring that sad period of time. The fight was finally over and so all the word seemed to find a good result because of it. #BAD13  #13stubc http://www.yadvashem.org/
