Blogging Challenge #6

If I could do any volunteer work, I would work at a animal shelter and help out with the animals and would be there to see a smile on the family’s face when they get their new pet! There is a specific place that I would love to volunteer at because this is where I got my cat!

The animal shelter is called the SPCA which is located in Briarcliff Manor NY! There are tons of kittens and puppies being ready for a home!

I am hoping to volunteer there one day and it would lots of fun!

Beach Picture Challenge -Claire

It was the end of the day and we were assigned to help the environment by cleaning up different areas of our town. I was assigned to the beach. My parents and I strolled around to find garbage to clean up. We found a lot of garbage. Mostly was water and soda bottless and potato chip bags

I looked on the ground and found a camera that someone must have dropped. I didn’t know what to do with it so I decided to pick it up and take a bunch of pictures. I took many pictures of seagulls, people and the ocean. Then something dropped out of the camera!
I couldn’t tell what it was but my dad said it was a weird looking battery from a long time ago. I looked at it more closely and decided that it was not right for me to keep it so I gave the camera to the life guard. The life guard put it in the lost-and-found.

The next day I came back to see if it was still there. It was. I really wanted to keep it but I knew I couldn’t so I just looked at it thinking, “Is it so bad if I take it?” If it was really important to anyone, then they would have came back for it. Before I could stop my self, I grabbed it and ran home. I really loved having that camera. I felt so guilty though that I gave it to my friend.

I opened the door with the fresh air hitting my face. I am a mouse and I am ready for any kind of adventure.
Stepping off  the plane, I walked over to the huge zoo. I looked at all types of animals, Giraffes Elephants, Monkeys, and my favorite Zebras! One zebra started to run over to me and I didn’t know what to do, so I just flipped over and landed on its back. It was expecting to see me and stopped suddenly.  I flipped over the zebra’s head landing on the fence and stayed there the whole day.

Edublogs Challenge #10

Activity 2

I have done 6 posts and I really enjoyed writing all of them.There were only 5 out of the 6 that were school based. One is about my own interest which is about my favorite character in a show! I only received 4 comments – 1 from my dad and 3 from students. My scary story got the most posts. I think that it got the most posts because in class we had to comment on each others scary stories and I got the most because of that!!  The post that I enjoyed most was challenge #9! I enjoyed that post the much because I was able write about anything I like! We have 9 widgets on our blog and I think that is the perfect amount because it is not too many and not too few. I only had 1 over seas student who is from British Columbia. I have really enjoyed being a part of the Edublog challenges!

Blog Post #9

My favorite character is  in my favorite show is Gonzo. Gonzo is in the Muppet show! He is also know and Gonzo the Great! Gonzo is a really funny character he is a alien from space! He always has shows in the Muppet show where he tries to do these crazy things but they always don’t work out!

Gonzo is my favorite character because I like he is s goofy! He has a really great personality,and I like his name. Gonzo will always interact with guest stars and will make there experience even better! At the end of every Muppet show theme song he always tries to bang the drum but he always misses or he will make it blow up!

Gonzo makes the Muppet show even more funny than it already is! He has many friends his two best friends are Kermit the frog and Rizzo the rat. Gonzo was a star in a Muppet movie called Muppet’s go to space! It is about Gonzo feeling that he was the only one of his species so he gets captured by a spy agency and escapes and meets his alien family!

Activity # 4

Today I am playing in a soccer game against  Harrison Power Line. I am the youngest player on the team and plying with 7th and 8th graders. In our  league we are in 5th place and the team we are playing is in 2nd. I am nervous for this game because I am 1) the smallest player on he field and 2) My team isn’t that good and we are tied for fifth place. We won the game 1-0.

I like this book because I like the way the author starts out talking about William Kamkwamba’s family and how they live. It was interesting to hear all the stories about his family. It was fascinating to learn that in poor towns of Africa they actually make toys. In Africa you could not go to a store to buy toys you have to make them by hand. I think it would be hard to live like William did.

In the book I have learned a lot about how life used to be in Africa. It was very hard and no one had any money so they did mostly everything by hand. I liked the stories that they told and it was interesting how they have 4th of July two days after us on the 6th. It was interesting to learn how much William and his brothers believed all the stories William’s grand-father told them. This book is really good so far and hopefully it gets even better.
