My Sunday By Deanna

On Sunday, I got up and then got ready to go to Sunday school. We planned for our speech competition and what topic we were going to do for a topic. We ended up picking the topic. We ended up picking the topic, The Major and Minor signs of the Day of Judgment. My Sunday school teacher is a really close family friend. Her daughter is my best friend we are a year apart but I skipped a grade in Sunday school so every year we are in the same class. Then we talked about a protest that’s on Saturday and who is going and not. We had lunch/recess at twelve for lunch and we had Nachos with cheese or meat sauce. We went back to class and read a religious story. Then the women and girls went upstairs and the men and boys went downstairs to pray.

After Sunday school was over we had a green club meeting. We talked about a fund raiser for our Sunday school and another one for Japan. Our fund raiser is on family night, which is every Friday. This Friday we are making falafel sandwiches and have a bake sale as we need to raise about four hundred dollars. The other fundraiser is for the March of Dimes so we need to make enough money for the T shirts that are going to be purple with black writing.

After Sunday school and the green club meeting we went and got pizza. Then we went to Zena’s aunt’s house. After we ate the pizza Zena, her older brother Omar and I went outside and went to the laundry room and sat in the laundry carts. Omar pushed  Zena and I in the laundry until we got dizzy. I went in by myself and then Zena did. After Zena got spun around in the laundry cart she flew into a table and hurt her elbow. After that we left the laundry room and Zena’s older brother Omar jumped over a huge bush and landed it perfectly without a scratch. Then we left Zena’s aunts house and they dropped me off to my house.

After that, a few of Zena, her family and a few of my cousins came and I had to finish my science home work and then we talked and took pictures then more cousins came and we played capture the chicken. Capture the chicken is capture the flag but with a little twist, instead of a flag you use a soccer ball or a stuffed animal. We kept switching teams but it was fun. I would advise you to not play with my cousins because they are kind of rough. Whenever we play we play in the playroom and we closed the door so the parents wouldn’t hear us Someone always ends up getting hurt when we play because we play with seventeen years old to eight year old kids. When we play we are really loud.
Now it was eleven o’clock and everyone was still here so we ate dessert. Zena’s mom came in the room and told us that we were supposed to eat two hours ago. So we had to hurry up and eat so they could leave.

When they left it was about twelve o’clock and we had to clean up. A few of my first cousins stayed a little longer and helped me clean up. After we finished cleaning we talked about how we somehow got hurt but it was a great day.

Imagination Day! By Deanna

In our school we have D days but sometimes we have a “banked” D day when we have normal classes. This D day we had an Imagination Day. On Imagination Day , my classes where Soccer Skills and Acting Improve. In acting Improv, our group played a few theater games and then we had to make a presentation for a few other groups. For our presentation we had a skit. Our skit was about a murder mystery and I was playing the victim’s 20 year old wife. My character had only cared about the money and not the fact that her 60 year old husband had been murdered. Then in Soccer the teachers had taught me what off side is in soccer games.

Ramapo by Deanna

Dear Sam and Ramapo friends…

I had a great time in Ramapo. I really liked the things we did  about Team work and that’s good.  Working hard is fun and exercising is very good for you. I also like how we played Camouflage…I think that’s right?

I loved the lunch at Ramapo. I also like how the hot dogs were not pork because I can’t eat pork. I also like how we had  a choice of salad bar and lemonade.

I think it was cool how we were encouraged to try the high ropes course and how Joe tried it and how we could rely on our team. I hope to go back to Ramapo again so that’s all I have to say.

Hope you and your  friends have a great time at  Ramapo.

Scary Story by Deanna

The Story of The Swings

The Story of the Swings

“RING!” As the school bell rang, twin sisters Amanda and Sarah ran to homeroom afraid to be late, only to find Emily and Rosie sitting in their seats staring up at them with a look of disgust. “Our seats now,” they were told. Amanda and Sarah decided to take empty seats in the back near Paul.

Paul said, “Hello, I can’t wait for our science test.”

“I forgot about the test!” said Sarah.

After school they went home and started their studying. They then had dinner, took a shower and got into bed, but for some reason neither of them could sleep.

Suddenly, they heard something outside. Curious, they grabbed a flash light and ran downstairs. As they looked outside, the sisters saw Emily and Rosie sitting on their swings. Confused, the sisters walked outside. Rosie and Emily ran into the  woods, and Amanda turned to Sarah and whispered, “Let’s follow them!”  They entered the woods only to find Emily and Rosie waiting. The twins tried their best to lose them without success.

Emily and Rosie cornered them with owls from the old trees, trapping them so they could either follow them or be eaten alive! The twins chose to follow and ended up at a dark, scary house.   It began rain hard, with thunder and lightning but it only rained over the house. The house seemed abandoned but there was a man standing there waiting for them. Amanda heard a scream and then Sarah was gone. She disappeared into the lightening. Amanda screamed for her sister and then she was gone into the sound of thunder. They both heard each other screaming in the lightning, and thunder got louder and louder.

They never, ever reappeared.   Now every time it storms, the sisters meet again. So next time you’re in a storm, what you hear is not scientific… it’s Amanda and Sarah.

SUMMER FUN by Deanna

This summer was very interesting  because I was in the Green Club and we helped Pakistan by packing boxes of food because of the flood there and that was fun. We made 100 boxes full of food and it had things like water, cookies, chips, soap, fruit snacks, powdered milk, juice boxes, snacks and so on. We all went to Bj’s to get all of our supplies.
