HALLOWEEN POEM by Fiona

Free candy is a delight, but watch out for fright

zombies vampires John Cena and more they will be you’re

nights galore

Trick-Or-Treaters everywhere they might give you a bit of a scare, But just beware of the house on end of the street, you don’t know what you might meet

Although I do, I never want to go back to the house on the end of the street because I do know for what you will meet.

Into the mansion the deeper you go, at the end you will scream OH NO,

You see a monster with eyes as big as  boulders, “ IT JUST TOUCHED ME ON THE SHOULDER, You run out of the house back on to the street For now you are safe but not until you meet the next monster of the street.

Surprise By Eden

It  was Halloween time in SC, but little did Abby know that she’d be in for quite a surprise.

Abby woke up to bright sunlight filling her room, when she remembered that her mother had left on a work meeting.  Abby was 13, and she didn’t mind being home alone. Later on in the day, right around after treating herself to a delicious early Halloween dinner she heard a noise. Thinking it was just the old house or an old prank she ignored it. She listened again, and the noise was coming from the attic, the attic, she had never went into the attic before she thought.

As days past, Abby kept hearing noises. She obviously did not want to go see what it was, because that’s what people do in movies and it never ends up well. Abby ignored the noises most of the time, until one night… listening to music, she popped out her earbuds and thought, “What can it be up there?” She had to go take a look. Abby walked up the creaky, faded old steps, opened the attic door slowly and closed her eyes. When she finally managed to open them to take a peek, she couldn’t believe what she saw.

Spilled water was on the floor, stuffing everywhere, and mini food pieces spread around. Then she saw a note on the floor. She picked it up and saw – Love Mom. Abby saw something flash across the room and go behind a box. She moved the box slowly and saw something she had always wanted… a cat. She realized her mother had left everything needed for the cat. Abby heard her mother come in and ran downstairs. It’s Halloween she thought, but this is better than candy. She hugged her mother and said, “Thank you!

Halloween is coming round

All get ready to parade around town

Laughing and playing in the streets you hear an odd sound

Labels you check to make sure they’re still there

Old costumes combine to make new

Why oh why is it so fun, maybe because you get to eat candy all day long

Especially because you get to dress up

Even get an excuse to EAT CANDY lots of candy

Never will you go back again to not eating candy

Blogging Challenge Week #4 by Adam

By Adam

All Hallows eve was the name of this day,

which sometimes would make grown men say,

Ahh you scared me! A child of mine!

Scaring adults is really not fine.

So go on! Get some candy to eat,

and dress up in costumes that look very neat.

But be warned, do not go into the dark,

where ghouls and goblins continue to lark.

Though these activities aren’t very jolly,

they take children like you and ship them to Somali!

On that note I leave you so enjoy this age! Now where did I leave my child size cage? Path / IntoCreative Commons License sszdl via Compfight

Week 4 Blogging Challenge Activity #2 by Zsofi

Halloween Poem:

I do not know what to be for Halloween

Maybe I could be a chocolate tree or a beach flee?

Should I be a misunderstood small southern arrow wood?

Or perhaps should I scare everyone by being terrifyingly good

at acting like the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood

I think I will just be an art expo conventioneer.

So  many options I have before I veer

And decide to become a Virginia deer

happy halloween! Nicole G via Compfight

Halloween – My Favorite Day in The Year

Halloween it’s my favorite day in the year

When the ghouls and goblins come out of the wall

When the ghosts scratch on the wall

It’s Halloween my favorite day in the year

When I trick or treat

And scare them all

And Halloween music blasts through the wall

It’s Halloween my favorite day in the year

When the pumpkins get carved

When the pumpkin pie sits in the oven and into the hall

It’s Halloween my favorite day in the year

When you count up all you candy and trade with kids big and small

And you brag to your friends that you got this and that

It is Halloween my favorite day in the year

You go to haunted houses big and small

And take out the pranks and scare them all

Then laugh once you’ve scared them off It’s Halloween my favorite day in the yearspiders wallpaper

When you scare kids big and small

And tell them stories about ghouls and goblins and more

It’s Halloween my favorite day in the year

The Scratching By Violet

The Scratching

As Cecelia walked into her new apartment on Halloween night after trick-or-treating, she noticed it was not like the others. The peeling paint on the off-white colored walls, the cobwebs that lined every nook and cranny, and the creaky, splintery stairs made Cecelia shudder. “Thank you sir,” She handed the doorman a tip, but noticed that he had a long scar stretching across his eye, making him blind, and overgrown fingernails. He walked away and slammed the door behind him.

Cecelia started to take her  belongings out of the boxes , but then she went to the lobby to ask if there was any other rooms available. The woman at the front desk said there wasn’t any because it was such a popular building, so Cecilia decided to stay and clean it up. An hour later she went off to sleep. She got into her bed and turned out the lights.

Scratch, scratch, scratch! It was exactly 12:00am when Cecelia woke up to the horrible sound. It seemed to be coming from outside her door. She suspected it was just her radiator and went to sleep.

About two weeks passed, and every night at exactly 12:00 she heard scratch, scratch, scratch! Every time she ignored it. One night at 11:59 she crept up to her door, fed up with what was happening. Scratch, scratch, but before the third could happen, she opened the door. In front of the door was the doorman, blood dripping from his head.  Cecilia’s eyes locked on his. For a second they just stood there, but then the doorman lunged at Cecelia and pinned her down, knife in hand. The doorman used it to cut across her eye. She tried to call for help, only to be muffled by the hand covering her mouth.

Week 4: Activity 3 by Aidan

What I Do To Celebrate Halloween Smiler glowMark Menzies via Compfight

To celebrate Halloween I go trick or treating with my sister and two kids we have know since we were little. We do a loop around all the houses near by. There are only like 12 or so people who go trick or treating there so the houses give a lot of candy. At the end, we go back to our friend’s house for like 10 minutes then we go home.
