Mirror, Mirror By Milaura

I live in the town of Midnightalsia where nothing is as it seems. This happened on my 13th birthday which is Halloween, I woke up and got ready for the day. Then as usual, I looked at myself in the mirror.

My family and I went to IHop. I was eating my food when I realized that, next to the restroom there was a mirror. It was so cute with the designs, so I quickly excused myself and went to go look in it. Just as I got to the mirror, a charm sounded.

When looked at myself in the mirror, my reflection blinked before I did. First I thought maybe the wall was little bit shaky, but I was……. frightened. My reflection was moving without me. It was just sitting there staring evilly at me and it was about to reach out.

Then we had my party. My family said I should let them clean and chill so I did. I went into my room, laid on the bed and then looked at myself in the mirror. My reflection was not doing what I was doing. I screamed. No one heard me because I have soundproof walls. Then it reached for me “Ahh don’t take me please.” It pulled me into the mirror and we switched positions. “Wahaha” it said. On the bed it left fake fingerprints everywhere and put a bloody knife on the bed to look like someone killed me. Then it disappeared and I became evil. My parents and siblings moved out of the house.

“Omg it is my 13th birthday I am so excited” Said Callia. It had been 13 days since she moved into this new house.  She looked in the mirror and laughed at herself the reflection was laughing too, but not a happy laugh an evil laugh.

The Liquid by Maya

It was Halloween night. Mykie and Joey we’re taking a walk in the forest

“Hey Mykie look at this car!” Joey said

“I wonder how it got there!” Mykie replied

“Lets look!” Suggested Joey

“Joey I don’t think that’s a good idea…” Mykie warned

By the time I said it, he was already  there.

“Hey Mykie come over here and look at this bottle! It’s crazy weird!”

What’s weird about it?” I said as I walked towards the car. I peeked in. Joey was right and inside was a weird bottle. It was glass and inside the glass was a strange purple liquid.

“I dare you to drink that!” I said.

“Okay, ” Joey replied.

I was laughing. “Why did you drink that?  I was only kidding!”

I looked up at Joey. He looked weird.

“Can I have some water?” he said softly.

I gave him the water bottle. He chugged it down in one gulp. I heard a scream far away.

“More,” he said. “I NEED MORE WATER NOW!” Joey screamed suddenly. He ran to the river and started drinking.

“Joey? That’s probably not safe for you to drink. Let’s go back home and get out of these creepy woods!” I said.

Joey wasn’t paying attention to me and he just drank. I heard more screams. I ran back home and found my mom and dad dead. I ran to the next house…Dead. Everyone in the neighborhood…Dead. I kept hearing screaming so I quickly turned on the news.

The news announcer said,“Deaths are happening all around the world! All because of a heart att-….” She screamed and slumped forward in her chair. Then I felt something Sharp inside me. I screamed.

“Ahhhhh. That quenched my thirst,”Joey said.

“Mykie?” Joey said. He ran back and looked and saw that everyone was dead. He didn’t care because he needed more water. He didn’t care if he was alone in the world because all he needed was water.

The Pumpkin by Joanie

IMG_1133 The night before Halloween, Daisy sat down to carve her pumpkin. She carved a scary face, then took a knife, put it in some ketchup and stabbed the knife into the pumpkin. That night, she put the pumpkin on her nightstand and said, “goodnight.” After a while, she got up to check on her pumpkin and it was gone!

Soon after, Daisy heard a voice in her closet. It said,

“Come Daisy look what I have to show you.” So Daisy opened her closet and saw the pumpkin calling her name.

“Come into MY closet,” it said.

Daisy screamed “Mommy Daddy help,” but there was no answer! She ran into her parents room and she didn’t see them. She looked all around and still no sign of them. She thought they might have gone to the store, so she went back to bed.

In the morning, Daisy got out of bed and went into her parents room to see if they had came home and sure enough they were sound asleep. “Mommy, Daddy where were you last night? ” They said they had gone to the all night store, so she went on with a normal Halloween day. She couldn’t wait to go trick-or-treating.

“Daisy,” her mom called to tell her it was time for school.

Daisy marched down the stairs and said, “Mom I am sick.”

Her mom said, “All right honey you can stay home from school but that means no trick-or-treating.” All that day Daisy was in her bed crying because she couldn’t go trick-or-treating.

That night she decided to be defiant and snuck out of her room and went trick-or-treating. While she was out she passed by some bushes. They looked like they were glowing red… a hand then reached out and pulled her in. She screamed…

The Bloody Pie – By Isaac

In the old, haunted town of Springville, Fred turned 10 on Saturday, October 31th, and he had to get a pie from the candy store. He walked into the store, nabbed a pie, and left a little less than what the pie cost. It was an old, empty bakery on Elm street, so normally no one was there. But as he left, a kind old lady said something that caught him off guard.

“Sonny boy, hello there! I’m sad because my old grandson died. He apparently robbed his mother and bought a pie and didn’t even pay enough, and he suffered a horrible fate,” said the old woman. She couldn’t have known. Just a coincidence, Fred kept telling himself.

“I wish I could get the little bugger back…” said the woman, and with that she started wailing. But then the strangest thing happened. Her eyes flashed a vermilion red for just a second. The woman’s sobs looked like cackles, but she turned back to normal a couple seconds after, and Fred went home with the pie.

Once he got home, his mom and dad (and even his little sister) jumped out and said ‘SURPRISE!’ He was very gratified with the surprise. Fred didn’t see the pie cutting when it was time, but he did see his mom tap the pie with some stick and her eyes flashed red. He told himself he was imagining it, and he ate a good dinner. But he heard a laugh from the kitchen, and his mom brought out a pie.

Mom took the platter off, but where the pie should have been, there was a tin full of blood! His mother let out a bloodcurdling scream, apparently unknowledgeable, but for just a moment, her eyes flashed red and her scream was a laugh.

127 Main Street Cockroaches by Annie

Four friends were hanging out on the corner of Main Street. It was the day before Halloween.

“Do you want to play ‘truth or dare’ Jacob? ” said Thomas.

“I want to play!” Jessica said excitedly.

“Don’t forget about me!” Ashley yelled.

“I’ll go first,” Jessica added, “I dare you Thomas, to lick the sidewalk!”

Without hesitation, Thomas bent down on his hands and knees, and gave the ground one big slobbery lick.

“Ewwwww!” screamed Ashley.

“Awsome, dude!” Jacob said giving Thomas a high-five.

“Okay My Turn,” said Thomas with an evil look on his face,

“I dare Jessica and Ashley to go into that abandoned house across the street!”

As they walked across Main Street there was a loud scream coming from the house.

“What was that?” Ashley asked in a scared tone of voice.

“I’m sure it’s nothing.” said Thomas reassuringly.

“Do we really have to?” cried Jessica.

“Oh, don’t be a chicken,” said Jacob, “We’ll wait right outside for you.”

Ashley opened the cobweb covered door. It made a loud creak. They walked in and the door slammed behind them. They saw nothing, but felt something tingly .

“AHHHHHH!” They both screamed. A little lamp suddenly turned on, and they realized that the things they felt were a thousand cockroaches!

“Gross!” cried Jessica.

“We’re not gross.” said the cockroaches.

“They talk!” yelled Ashley.

The cockroaches climbed up their legs and dragged them into the basement. The basement was filled to the waist line with slime. They both screamed. In the basement they saw all the children who were missing from the neighborhood!

“AHHHHHHH!” they screamed again as they got sucked under the slime.

Meanwhile outside the boys were laughing hysterically when they heard the screams.

“I think it’s safe to say they’re never coming back!” Thomas said still laughing.

Where’s My Yearbook by Zach

Although they were only 9th graders, they ruled the school. Bobby was always the team captain, no matter the sport. John was the richest kid in the school; his dad owned the power company that everyone got power from. David was the genius. He skipped over three grades at once and he edited the school yearbook. All these kids were very nice and the teachers and kids adored them. But Bobby, John, and David all shared a secret.

It was an easy decision to leave Timmy out of the yearbook. No one really knew him, and David thought that people would rather forget the tragedy in the boys’ bathroom. Bobby, John and David wanted to erase that day forever. They were all heads of the anti-bullying committee and they knew bullying was bad from first-hand experience. They certainly did not want anyone to investigate what happened on the day that Timmy died.

Carl, the school janitor, had nightmares about that Halloween all the blood on the mirror. He still wondered if he should have told the police about the boys fooling around in the bathroom.

Bobby, John and David were so excited on the night of graduation. David had created a great yearbook and he elected Bobby and John to help him pass them out. Every student immediately opened their yearbook and said how fantastic the book looked – full of great memories of the school year.

When Bobby, John and David opened their yearbooks, a ghostly image of Timmy appeared on every page.  “Where’s my yearbook?” was written in blood on the back page. The three boys freaked out.  They ran back to the scene of their crime… the boys bathroom, and the mirror was once again covered in blood. Bobby, John and David were never heard from again.

The Awful Bug – by Cedar

THE THING’S eyes glowed blood red and she screamed! The young girl had left her room for a midnight snack on Halloween night. It was a dark night and so quiet she could hear her own breath. When she returned to her room the door creaked open slowly. Inside was her worst nightmare… a bug, but not just any bug. This bug was as big as herself and had evil red eyes with a dart black body. “Help heeeeeelp,” she whimpered in terror. All she could see was its shape and glowing demon eyes. Then suddenly it spread its wings and with a screech flew at the helpless child.

The girl heard an inhuman scuttling. A dim light shone through a shaft in the roof, but not her roof. It was a slimy, cave ceiling. She slowly rolled over to see the most horrid hairy beetle legs. “Eek,” she said in disgust.

“What is that you say?” said a screeching voice. The girl looked up and saw a leering bug with the most awful red eyes.

“Nnnnothing,” the young girl stammered. “Aare you going to eeeeat me.”

“Only time will tell…..”

“Ppplease please please no.” Without a word the awful creature scuttled away leaving the doomed child in silence. She looked around for a way out, but the shaft of light was too small to fit through. Maybe the way the beetle had gone would lead to an exit. She crept through the dark passageway. It was awfully spooky but she kept going.

The girl heard a sound and in a split second she knew what it was… THE MONSTER. The glowing red eyes came around the corner. With a woosh the horrid bug flew at her again. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!” Creative Commons License Mick Talbot via CompfightColeoptera - Mordellidae cf sp.

The Woods by Justin

It was Halloween night and I was walking in the dark woods. One of my friends had told me that there was a creepy old man in the middle of these woods. They also told me that whenever kids knocked on his door, they never came back. The woods had bats, old trees and creepy old trails. I was getting closer to the house and I could see a rocking chair with no one in it.  When I got closer, I could see it rocking. My dog sully started to bark.

Sully started howling, but for some odd reason, he suddenly stopped. I turned around and I saw a face in the window. It gave me a cold shiver and then all of a sudden I heard more howling in the distance and it kept getting closer and closer.  At first I didn’t care and started to walk, but then the sound was getting closer and closer. I was getting chills when I was by the old man’s house. He was now outside in his rocking chair staring at me. Then all of a sudden a coyote came out of the bushes and my dog tried to attack it, but he just growled at the coyote and the coyote did the same.

Sully and I tried to run but the a pack of coyotes started coming out onto the trail. The old man was laughing in a deep voice and Sully kept growling at them. For some reason the old man was laughing really loud and the coyote went towards him and attacked him. Because he was eating dinner and the coyotes wanted the food.  but then me and sully ran as fast as we could to get home.  Every halloween night, I look into the woods and I get cold shivers.

One misty morning in Rhinebeck, New York, on October 31, 2015, Luke was at his house having a what seemed to be a normal morning. What he didn’t know was that this would be the most extraordinary morning of his life.

Luke woke, only to see that it was raining. The rain turned into hail, then snow and finally it  stopped. He called his friend Nick and they decided to get some food. While they were driving back it was cloudy and gloomy out.  Luke and Nick were disappointed because they wanted to go outside but they decided to watch TV instead. Suddenly, the TV the screen suddenly went black. “Ugggg must be the storm,” Luke said.

Nick agreed that it was just the storm.

“I will go on the roof and see what happened,” Luke said. Just then it started to rain.

“That’s great!” Nick said sarcastically. “What do we do now?”

Then the rain stopped as quickly as it started. “Good now we can go and see why your TV isn’t working” Nick said.

“I don’t think so,” Luke protested. “This is weird.”

Nick somehow got him into it, and the next moment they were on the roof.

“What’s that noise” Luke said?

“I don’t know. Let’s just forget about it,” said Nick.

They went to check the satellite dish to see what was happening with the TV.  As they were looking at the dish, they heard the noise again.

“What IS that?” Luke exclaimed. They continued to search for the location of the sound. When they looked over they did not believe what they saw…a monster with eyes of green, two big horns on its head, and giant feet! Just then it charged at Luke and it struck him off the roof! “LUKE!” Nick called. “LUKE!”

What…. what?

“Time for breakfast honey.”
