Activity 1

I am sort of a different person online. In real life I talk a lot more. I don’t describe myself as well as I would if I was talking to a person. I also do not talk a lot online. I’m more confident in speaking to people then when I am online I think it is because growing up I did not use many electronics or watch that much TV. I like talking to people. I think it is better talking to a person, not a screen. A screen does not hug your back. A screen does not dry your tears. Online I am known as Soriyabeach, Meleazard Milou09 Mila, Mimi and a lot more. In T.R.W (the real world) I go by Milaura, Mimi, lulu, Milaurey, and that is just the beginning (my Mom Dad & friends gave me a lot). I also speak differently. I use a lot more “like” “omg’s” “totally” and “awesome!” “I also Squeal in excitement (Barely).

  I Chose this avatar because I sometimes dress like that. However my eyes are brown, my eyebrows are the same color as my hair, and my hair is much longer. I made this on icivics (I had to play for a while to unlock everything)

Activity 3

My name is Milaura. I am 11 years old and I am a sixth grader, currently attending Poughkeepsie Day School. I like to use my spare time playing tennis, reading, writing, I am learning how to play piano. I love going to the beach and enjoy traveling to different places. I also enjoy reading and writing poetry and quotes. Spending time with family and friends is very enjoyable and staying at hotels, and eating at different types of restaurants. I can learn more about other cultures and countries and it is very fun. I would like to become a doctor one day, however my mind is not all the way make up yet, I am keeping my options open for now. My dream is to be able to help children one day and I know with God’s favor I will accomplish it pretty soon.

I think I am an outgoing person both online and offline. I spend very little time interacting with other people on the computer. But sometimes I go on Instagram and look at what horse things people have posted. When I interact with people online I am basically myself!

Activity 3

Hey! My name is Olivia and I’m 11 years old. I enjoy playing sports including soccer and horseback riding. I love horseback riding so much I do it in the winter, summer, fall, and spring. When I horseback ride I walk, trot, canter, gallop,  and  jump. I also have many pets. I have 3 dogs, one fantastic guinea pig, and two extraordinary horses named Maxine and Dundee. I’m really excited because I just got another horse over the summer! But that’s not all I did, I also went to Cape Cod and Fire Island and Connecticut  for my sleep away camp. My sleep away camp was a horseback riding camp and I went with two of my amazing friends Olive and Eden. At camp, we horseback rode 2-3 times a day.  Some of those riding lessons we would go swimming with the horses. That was really spectacular. Overall I had a really good summer!

Blogging Challenge Week #1

Activity 1:

My name is Violet but UltraViolet is usually my computer/online name. I’m a 6th grade student in PDS. I love skiing, baking, and being weird! When I am online I’m polite and serious. While offline I’m crazy, a social butterfly, and sweet.

I made my avatar like this because everyone says I’m a really funny person, and as you can see in the picture I’m laughing. I chose to use bitmoji because I have the app on my iPod and it’s a really good app. I put my outfit like this because there was no outfits like me so I chose a hoodie because I sometimes wear them.

 

Activity 3:

My name is Violet Bryn Stearn. I was born October  in Syosset LI. I have a very large family with a lot of cousins. My family has always had a passion for skiing, so when I was two I started skiing. Now that I’m older, I ski race for Belleayre mountain with my sister and my friend Joanie. It’s a lot of effort in the Winter but it’s a lot of fun and it makes you stronger. I also rock climb and ice skate.

Joanie, Petra, Olive, Olivia, and Maya are some of my best friends. We’ve all known each other since we were in 1st grade. I also have a 14 year old sister named Lily, she is the most SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC sister anyone could ever have. Though she can sometimes get a bit cranky, grumpy, annoying, and mean, she is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. But  there’s not a big surprise there. I mean, she is a teenager! I also have a German shepherd dog named Rocket. He is super adorable, smart, and big. Another thing about me is, I am a huge fan of Japanese food. All of it, sushi, rice, soup, dumplings, anything. I love the color violet, just like my name. I also really like panda bears. They’re so adorable and fuzzy! I’ve always wanted to go to France and learn how to speak the language. My mom said she would take me next year and I’m really excited!

My name is Neha and  I’m in  6th grade. I love art.and reading. My favorite color is lavender. I also like making these bracelets that are called Rainbow Loom bracelets. They are basically rubber bands made into a bracelet by putting them on a loom and looping them on a hook. I love to paint. I’ve painted a lot of paintings. I like to write in school. Activity 3:

’m Tess. I love to do a lot of things, one of which is writing. I also love horror movies. I like them because they give you a rush when there is a jump scare. I have always wanted to see a horror movie in theaters so I can scream with other people and not feel so weird!  I also have a loving family made up of my mom, my dad, my brother and my 2 pets Scout and Wilbur. Recently I’ve been into rock music. My friend Bella introduced me to some bands and I have loved them ever since! But I don’t just love to listen to music, I love to play it too! I play guitar, violin and a little ukulele. One thing I did that was really fun, was play at the Bardavon with an orchestra called Stringendo. I’ve been in the orchestra for about a year, and it’s really fun.  Another thing I love is sports. I’m on a swim team called the Hudson Valley Dolphins, I just moved up to the second group called Silver. Before I was in bronze. You move  to the next group up depending on how good you are at swimming. My brother is in the best group, Gold. Last year I went to the Junior Olympics. Me and 3 other people swam a free style relay.

Activity 1 Well I’m definitely a lot more brave online, because in real life I wouldn’t have the guts to fight other people and risk dying when I’m playing video games. Apart from that, I think I’m a lot cooler virtually than I am in real life because I can do a lot of things in game than I can in real life.

Hello my name is Adam and I was born on March 17 which is St. Patrick’s Day. I don’t remember my experiences as a baby at all. My family members are Azeddine, Isabella, Victoria and Mary. I have 2 pets, Lilly (the dog) and Kat (the cat). My sisters are currently both in college in the same state. I like to play a lot of video games, and I think I’m a pretty good player. I’m also an aspiring actor (that was a hint to cast me as the lead in all the plays ha ha)  I’ve been at my school for 6 years and I’ll probably stay through high school. I also play three sports Basketball, Soccer and American Football (but I had to quit football, my mom being a Neurological Health Provider and all) I am definitely looking forward to having Iced Tea and Gatorade in high school even though I thought I could have it this year, I can wait.

Activity 1: Is my real-life presence different from my online presence?

I don’t really have much of a presence online . . . yesterday was the first time I have ever commented on anything online, and this is the first time I have ever blogged or anything. I don’t really post or comment on much. The most I really do is share pictures of cute bears and messages of conservation and wildlife with the five or so people in my circles on google plus. I do have a youtube account, but I have never uploaded, commented on, or even liked anything. I have subscribed to a couple people though, and even that was a big step for me. It’s not that I’m don’t know how to use the internet or anything. I spend a good amount of time online, but I just don’t really make my presence known–the opposite of how I am in real life. When I see one of my friends, I say hi or something. In conclusion, my online presence is virtually nonexistent and therefore is undeniably different from my real life presence.

Activity 3: Who am I?

My name is Zoë and I love cats, cookies, and film making. I am constantly coming up with characters and ideas for movies and I have recently finished the first draft of a 60 page screenplay. I love chibi (which is sort of like this adorable type of anime) and I use it constantly. I am pescetarian (type of vegetarian that can eat seafood) because I love sheep, cows, goats, chickens, and pigs. I love many more animals, but listing all of them would take a while. My eyes are brown and so is my water bottle. My cats are amazing.

Activity 3: My name is Eden, I am 11 years old and I go to PDS. Here we have 3 Edens, but I’m the youngest. I have a cat and a horse and I take the bus to school. I transferred schools once and have never moved. I love to horseback ride and play soccer. I have been horseback riding for 7 years and just started soccer on a local team of mine. I love to jump over hurdles set up in my yard for fun, and when I am allowed. I will do track with my school. I bike occasionally and like to ski in the winter. That is a little bit about me, and even though there’s a lot more, my hands are getting tired from typing!

Activity 1: Hi my name is Yasmeen, and I like to be myself online and offline. I choose to be myself in both worlds because I want people to know the real me. I post pictures of myself, things I make, see, and go to. If I write a comment it’s usually really nice. When I first got my Instagram account I would post like crazy but now I don’t post that often so I have learned how to limit my use on Instagram. Well that is how I am different from offline to online!

 

Activity 2: I chose bitmoji . This avatar  I think  really describes me like I sometimes wear lipstick so I thought that would be a nice feature. I really liked my avatar because I almost have the same color shirt. I chose “Hi” because I thought it would be a way to greet people when they see my avatar.
