I think Mrs. Murphy is a hero in the book One for the Murphys. I think she is a hero because she never gave up on Carley and she treated her like she was her own child. She also helped Carley out in the hardest part of her life. I really think Mrs. Murphy is  hero for helping a child in need.

I also think Carley is a hero in a way, too. She is a little rude to people but deep down she is a really sweet girl. She went through a tough time and she was raised in a weird way, but she still treated Mikel Eric and Adam well. I think Carley is a hero.

Heroes In the One and Only Murphys-Eden

There are a lot of heroes in tons of books but some of the heroes in One for the Murphys are Michael Eric and Mrs Murphy. I think that Michael Eric is a hero in the book because when he gets back from the hospital he walked in the house and gave Carly a big hug. After he hugged her, he sort of changed her life and she started feeling like part of the family. Before the hug, she was being very rude to everyone because she really missed her mom. I also think that Mrs Murphy is a hero because she really loves Carley and takes care of her so well. Carley is very hard to take care of and never listens to anyone because she misses her mom. One thing that Mrs Murphy did that is heroic was when Carley was being really rude to the waiter  at the restaurant and Mrs Murphy but was telling her to stop but managed to keep her temper. In the book, it explains that it looks like Mrs Murphy is losing her temper but she still talking very gently to Carly. Most of the people in the story are heroes but Mrs Murphy and Michael Eric seemed the most heroic to me.

I think that Carley is a hero in One for the Murphys. I think she shows this when she took care of the boys while Mrs. Murphy was with Michael Eric. She cared for Daniel even though he was not nice to her. Carley was strong even when Dennis beat her and her mom betrayed her. She trusts her mom even with all of her faults. Carley has the power to ignore other people when they annoy her instead of getting angry. Mrs. Murphy is also a hero. She took Carley under her wing and gave her everything to make her comfortable and happy. She was strong when Michael Eric had a seizure, and trusted Carley with her house and sons. She bought her new clothes for school and even made an Easter basket with things that Carley. Mrs. Murphy and Carley share a few qualities, like how they can they can think under pressure. Overall, these two characters have proved to be heroes in the story.

I think there are three heroes so far in One for the Murphys. This next piece of writing is who I think those heroes are and why I think they are heroes.

1. Jack: I think he is a hero because he is a fireman. His job is to go into buildings on fire and save everybody who is in there and put the fires out.

2. Julie: I think she is a hero because she rushed her son Michael Eric to the hospital when he had a seizure attack. She also really helped Carley get comfortable in her foster home and foster family.

3. Carley: I think Carley is a hero because she really stayed calm in a really scary moment. She took charge and calmed everybody down as well as taking care of Adam and Daniel and taking care of the house.

I think these are the heroes in One for the Murphys. Do agree or disagree with my heroes and reasons they are heroes?
