On Halloween night. In a dark alley, there was a man dressed in black. He was very still and he did not move at all or make any noise. His name is James. Then another man walked past the alley on the road coming back from work. James starts slowly following him. He starts hearing: I’m going to kill you I’m going to kill you… He doesn’t care what he is hearing he keeps on walking.

When he gets home his wife and James are standing there looking like they are possessed. Then his dog comes out of the house and starts attacking him, he is freaking out but he is staying calm. His wife and James usher him to the lawn and bring him to the swing set. They have the swing set up like it was a guillotine with a real blade. James put his head under the blade. Then the blade starts to fall. The blade hits his neck and his head falls off.

Then everything goes back in time to when he was at work sitting at his desk about to fall asleep. He then realized that he was sleeping and having a bad dream. He looks at his watch it said 6:00 pm. So he starts heading back home. When he gets home his wife and James were standing there with knifes ready to kill him. So James and his wife bring him to the swing set that was turned into a guillotine. They then drop the blade on his neck. This time he actually dies. Now he rests in peace (R.I.P.).

Hollow Walls By Adam

About a month after his roommate moved in on Halloween night, Ethan heard voices inside the wall. He asked Tom frequently if he heard voices, but Tom shrugged it off and said he didn’t. Although Ethan knew he could hear them, because whenever he ask Tom always began to act oddly.

One day he heard the voices louder this time saying “Get out, he-” and then the voices cut off with a loud rumble.

Tom was walking down the stairs directly after. “Whoa we must have mice or something,” Tom said.

“Yeah, I guess so. See you around.” Ethan left and headed to the RA’s room leaving Tom to do whatever he wanted. He knocked on the RA’s door and when no one answered he went back to his room. Four days after he was walking down the hall, he saw a missing person report on his floor’s  poster board with a picture of Martin. Ethan went back to his room thinking about Martin going missing.

Ethan woke up to see Tom standing in his room with a baseball bat about to swing at Ethan.

“Oh, umm wanna go play baseball?” Tom said nervously. Tom was getting shakier by the second.

“Yeah sure let me just grab my bat and gl-.”

Ethan shot his leg up and kicked Tom’s head knocking him out. He dragged him to the wall locking him behind like the others. They were screaming so loudly Ethan couldn’t even hear himself think, so he covered their mouths with duct tape and closed the wall back up.

“Oh that’s why? I thought I was crazy,” Ethan said as he began to laugh.

Tom woke up gasping. “Ethan would never do that to me” Tom said.

“Oh really?” Ethan said as an evil grin spread across his face.

The Girl Who Watches – By Tess

The school bell rang pounding against my eardrums like drumsticks. I walked out of class onto the hard pavement and took a deep breath of the fresh air. Today was Halloween so we were let out of school early. I jumped into my car to drive to the coffee shop down the road. There I would meet my two friends Jax and Aaron. Jax is 17 and really nice. He’ll never let a friend down. Aaron is different. He’s funny and always goes off a subject. I pulled my thick hair into a ponytail and started to drive.

Once at the coffee shop,  I sat down at Jax and Aaron’s table down putting my backpack beside me. “Hi Margo,” Jax said.

Aaron put a newspaper in front of me. I looked at him with wide eyes. “Read it.”

I picked up the paper and scanned through it. There was a house where a girl died and was supposably haunted.

“Well?” said Aaron raising an eyebrow.

“Well what?” I said back.

“Wanna go?”

I looked at him like he was crazy then said, “Whatever, but if we get in trouble it’s your fault,”.

I stood at the tall door. My hand shook as I turned the doorknob. I took a step into the dark house. Everything was dusty. All the furniture was covered by white sheets. Jax pulled out a camera as Aaron made some stupid comments. I stared at the stairs and walked to them.

Once at the second floor, I looked down a long hallway then heard a big crash come from the bedroom. We walked over and saw a girl. Her clothes were torn, and dry blood sat under her fingernails. I jumped and ran down the stairs with Jax and Aaron behind me. I never turned back.

The Bloody Pie – By Isaac

In the old, haunted town of Springville, Fred turned 10 on Saturday, October 31th, and he had to get a pie from the candy store. He walked into the store, nabbed a pie, and left a little less than what the pie cost. It was an old, empty bakery on Elm street, so normally no one was there. But as he left, a kind old lady said something that caught him off guard.

“Sonny boy, hello there! I’m sad because my old grandson died. He apparently robbed his mother and bought a pie and didn’t even pay enough, and he suffered a horrible fate,” said the old woman. She couldn’t have known. Just a coincidence, Fred kept telling himself.

“I wish I could get the little bugger back…” said the woman, and with that she started wailing. But then the strangest thing happened. Her eyes flashed a vermilion red for just a second. The woman’s sobs looked like cackles, but she turned back to normal a couple seconds after, and Fred went home with the pie.

Once he got home, his mom and dad (and even his little sister) jumped out and said ‘SURPRISE!’ He was very gratified with the surprise. Fred didn’t see the pie cutting when it was time, but he did see his mom tap the pie with some stick and her eyes flashed red. He told himself he was imagining it, and he ate a good dinner. But he heard a laugh from the kitchen, and his mom brought out a pie.

Mom took the platter off, but where the pie should have been, there was a tin full of blood! His mother let out a bloodcurdling scream, apparently unknowledgeable, but for just a moment, her eyes flashed red and her scream was a laugh.

127 Main Street Cockroaches by Annie

Four friends were hanging out on the corner of Main Street. It was the day before Halloween.

“Do you want to play ‘truth or dare’ Jacob? ” said Thomas.

“I want to play!” Jessica said excitedly.

“Don’t forget about me!” Ashley yelled.

“I’ll go first,” Jessica added, “I dare you Thomas, to lick the sidewalk!”

Without hesitation, Thomas bent down on his hands and knees, and gave the ground one big slobbery lick.

“Ewwwww!” screamed Ashley.

“Awsome, dude!” Jacob said giving Thomas a high-five.

“Okay My Turn,” said Thomas with an evil look on his face,

“I dare Jessica and Ashley to go into that abandoned house across the street!”

As they walked across Main Street there was a loud scream coming from the house.

“What was that?” Ashley asked in a scared tone of voice.

“I’m sure it’s nothing.” said Thomas reassuringly.

“Do we really have to?” cried Jessica.

“Oh, don’t be a chicken,” said Jacob, “We’ll wait right outside for you.”

Ashley opened the cobweb covered door. It made a loud creak. They walked in and the door slammed behind them. They saw nothing, but felt something tingly .

“AHHHHHH!” They both screamed. A little lamp suddenly turned on, and they realized that the things they felt were a thousand cockroaches!

“Gross!” cried Jessica.

“We’re not gross.” said the cockroaches.

“They talk!” yelled Ashley.

The cockroaches climbed up their legs and dragged them into the basement. The basement was filled to the waist line with slime. They both screamed. In the basement they saw all the children who were missing from the neighborhood!

“AHHHHHHH!” they screamed again as they got sucked under the slime.

Meanwhile outside the boys were laughing hysterically when they heard the screams.

“I think it’s safe to say they’re never coming back!” Thomas said still laughing.

The Woods by Justin

It was Halloween night and I was walking in the dark woods. One of my friends had told me that there was a creepy old man in the middle of these woods. They also told me that whenever kids knocked on his door, they never came back. The woods had bats, old trees and creepy old trails. I was getting closer to the house and I could see a rocking chair with no one in it.  When I got closer, I could see it rocking. My dog sully started to bark.

Sully started howling, but for some odd reason, he suddenly stopped. I turned around and I saw a face in the window. It gave me a cold shiver and then all of a sudden I heard more howling in the distance and it kept getting closer and closer.  At first I didn’t care and started to walk, but then the sound was getting closer and closer. I was getting chills when I was by the old man’s house. He was now outside in his rocking chair staring at me. Then all of a sudden a coyote came out of the bushes and my dog tried to attack it, but he just growled at the coyote and the coyote did the same.

Sully and I tried to run but the a pack of coyotes started coming out onto the trail. The old man was laughing in a deep voice and Sully kept growling at them. For some reason the old man was laughing really loud and the coyote went towards him and attacked him. Because he was eating dinner and the coyotes wanted the food.  but then me and sully ran as fast as we could to get home.  Every halloween night, I look into the woods and I get cold shivers.

The Barn on Devils Drive

“ Do I have to?”

“Yes, if you want to join the club,” said Laura .

“ Uh, okay.”

Rebecca walked into the barn shaking and sweating. She did NOT want to do this, but she had to, well if she wanted to be part of Laura’s club. Once she was fully in the barn, she turned around shut the door, and sat down. Why oh why did she have to sleep here?  In a gross old barn. If it was outside she would be fine, but it was in a creepy barn on Devil’s Drive. On Halloween Night.

“ Rebecca you don’t have to sleep here. You chose this.”  said a voice

“ AHHHHHH!” Rebecca shouted.

“ Awww don’t be scared!” said a voice.

Rebecca did not speak… she couldn’t. Her mouth was glued shut. The creature stepped out of the darkness. It was invisible, except for the eyes. The eyes were fiery red. When Rebecca looked into them she felt nothing. She felt like air. It was as if everything she had done in the world was gone.

The creature walked toward her. It looked her up and down and then something strange happened. She felt as if the creature was taking her soul. The creature started to look like Rebecca. Blonde hair grew where there was none before. Suddenly Rebecca felt pain, that she could not describe. She tried to scream but her mouth was still glued shut. When the pain stopped Rebecca looked at her legs but there were none there. When she looked at the creature she found herself…looking at herself.

The next morning Rebecca walked out of the barn, Laura was there waiting for her.

“ What happened to your eyes?” asked Laura.

“ Ah, I didn’t sleep very well last night.” Rebecca smiled.

The Caller By Olive

The Caller

Prologue:  One  night  a  man’s  niece  was  babysitting, but little did he know it would change his  life. When the man was gone the niece set the house on fire. While this was happening the father was trying to call because it was their bedtime. And he kept saying “ Check the children.” Soon it was enough. He drove home and saw his dead kids in the fire. From now on, his spirit haunts that property with a raspy voice from the smoke.

Lizzy, a 15 year old girl was babysitting. When the kids were trick or treating the phone rang. When she picked it up the caller said in a raspy voice, “SAVE THE CHILDREN!” and when the caller hung up she ran outside and started calling the kids. Since the rule was only trick or treating in the neighborhood. they came right over she said “sorry, just wondering were you were.”

It must be a prank call she thought to herself, as she sat down to watch the rest of the movie. The phone rang,  Lizzie let it ring until she heard the voice mail. After the beep she heard, “SAVE THE CHILDREN!”  She got scared and called the police. After she explained, and they said, “When he calls try to keep him on the phone,” and she hung up. When she hung up, the phone rang. She put the phone to her ear.

There was a soft and raspy voice it  said “SAVE THE CHILDREN OR I’LL GET YOU.” She screamed and ran outside. As she sat on the cold wet grass panting, the phone rang. She  picked it up. It was the police! A sigh of relief. They shouted at her, “Get the kids and get out of the house. The call is coming from inside.”

Scary Story – Bastien

Nini was in her classroom. All Nini’s classmates were tidying up to end the day. Before she left, she and her classmates each received a doll and got to name it. Nini named her doll Lilith. Different than the other dolls, Lilith had red button eyes and the others had purple and pink colored eyes. Long after the buses had driven away, Nini stood alone waiting for her parents for a long time.

As it started to get dark, Nini could hear the owls calling from the tall dark oak trees. She worried when she heard the church bell ring for 5:00pm. She tried not to be scared but suddenly, she heard sounds behind the school. Being curious she went to go look. She started to get scared in the dark so she started going a little faster and faster, and before she knew it she was running. It started to get fogy. Nini was very scared now she wanted to go home, she was so caught up in the thought she dropped her doll she tried to find it but it was too foggy, so she walked on.

She suddenly saw a shape and realized it was a little shack. She walked toward the small hut, and saw a little flicker of light in it. She ran to it and opened the door. She looked around, and suddenly she saw blood all over the floor. Her doll was sitting in a chair turning her head to look at Nini. She screamed and ran as fast as she could. She looked back and saw her doll following. Nini was crying, but ran on hoping to see her parents. The doll was so close as she ran and then she felt a sharp pain through her leg. NIna fell and saw her doll right behind her and then…

Scary Story by Quinn

Doom of the Goblins

At home, two brothers Max and Paul were preparing to go Trick or Treating.  Max and Paul both got tons of candy.  They walked down Statue Avenue to get home when they saw something that they would never forget…

A bunch of goblins were looking at them. The goblins had yellow fangs, were about two and a half feet tall and had green faces. Max and Paul screamed louder than ever.  Then the brothers saw a goblin bigger than the others.  He grunted something to the other goblins.  The goblins started advancing on them.  The chanted something that sounded like a battle cry.  Max and Paul started running the other way.  But they froze when they saw more goblins surround them.  Then the goblins started to close in all the while chanting that awful battle cry.  Once they got so close that the brothers could have touched them.  In fact one of them tried to grab Paul’s arm but Paul punched him in the face.  The hand had felt very slimy and globby.

Trying to move north, south, east, and west but there was no escape and the goblins moved to intercept them.  Then they remembered that Max had a cell phone.  Dialing 911 the police answered. Max told them what happened.

One minute later the goblins thankfully disappeared when the police came.  Max and Paul were escorted home where they ate their wonderful candy.  Of course no one believed them and they never forgot that night.  But every halloween they felt a strange feeling in themselves…
