Pandora’s Lair
With Coraline and Tintin pictures
Introduction
“John do you see that? The glowing orb in the center?” Mary said.
Slowly she crept into the hole and submerged into the golden light.
All of a sudden I heard a voice that sounded like Mary’s, scream out in pain. Then with a thud, something fell to the cold, hard floor.
“Yes! The treasure of Pandora is all mine! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” said a voice coming from the golden glow.
“What is that?” I replied
“Mary? Mary! AHHHHHHHHH!”
“It has been three weeks since Mary, my partner investigator, had disappeared. I had been searching for her ever since her mysterious disappearance into that dark hole. I spent most of that time looking for countless hours at the hole where she last was standing. The hole that we were observing was called Pandora’s Lair. Legend has it that Pandora the great Greek hero, actually put all of her wealth into a hole and hid it from everybody.
Then one day while I was observing, a sharp pain landed in my back. It did not feel like a knife, but a needle.
When I woke back up I was in a dungeon. On the outside there was someone who had a Mexican wrestling mask on and was in a suit. He said, “We’ve been waiting for you to wake up John.”
“How do you know my name?” I said with a quivering voice.
“We’ve been watching you for many years now. Learning your weaknesses. Like one of them is her!”
Two of his thugs pulled out a beaten up woman and when I looked closer at her face, I saw who it was. It was Mary!
“What did you do to her!” I said both angry and sad.
“We just reasoned with her and had some fun,” he said with a smirk and a chuckle.
All of a sudden my vision went groggy. A hand grasped my shoulder and injected me with a green liquid.
