I’m Aydin and I’m from the town of Poughkeepsie. Poughkeepsie is a great place to live. It has the Poughkeepsie Journal, the oldest newspaper in New York state. It has Vassar College, the first Women only college in the country. It’s centrally located in New York state, so all of your favorite attractions surround you. It has a nice community as well. It also has a great school by the name of Poughkeepsie Day School.
Hi my name is Sobia. I am 10 years old and I go to school at Poughkeepsie Day School. I live in the Hudson Valley with my mom, my dad, my two brothers and my sister who are all older than me. My favorite color is red, but now I’m starting to like violet. I also have a spinny chair in my room which I like to sit in on and go on the computer or read or write. I came to PDS when I was in fourth grade but now I’m in sixth grade. I like to ride my bike on my driveway because it is really long and I like to go on the grass which is next to my driveway. My favorite season is winter because I love to ski, sled and make snowmen. Also it’s funny to watch my cat go around in the snow when we get a lot of snow because it is hard for him to get through the snow. I am really happy to be back at school and I hope it is going to be a great year.

Hi, I’m Leah! Here are some things I think you should know about me. I live in the beautiful town of Montgomery in New York. I have three dogs, two horses and a cat and I live with my mom, my dad and my twin sister Mira. Some sports that I do are horseback riding, swimming and softball. I also love animals, hanging out with my friends and cooking! This summer and last summer I went to an awesome day camp called Camp Red Wood. I did tubing, knee boarding, swimming, shooting bow and arrows at targets, playing lots of games and having a great time with new and old friends! This year I entered the 6th grade at a new school called Poughkeepsie Day School. I really hope I make new friends and have a great school year :)!

I’m in 6th grade and I go to Poughkeepsie Day School in NY. I’m 11 years old and my favorite colors are red, gold, and blue. I love acting, sports, and hanging out with my friends.
I was born and raised in France. My dad is French, and my mom is from St. Louis, Missouri. I live with my mom, my step dad, my brother Bastien, my dad, and step-mom. My dad and my step mom are movie producers so they travel a lot. I used to be home schooled so I could travel with them but I am happy where I am now in PDS!!! My favorite subject is Humanities!!! When I’m older I want to be a famous actor. I love music, without music my heart would stop!!! I really want to go to Japan and the Maldives. I spend my vacations with my dad and step mom. Hello. My name is Nachman. I’m in 6th grade at Poughkeepsie Day School. I live in the town of Poughkeepsie, in the state of New York. I like to travel, and every summer I go to visit my grandparents in India. I was actually born in England, but my family moved to America when I was one year old. When I go to India, we sometimes stop over in other countries along the way. So, this past summer I got to visit Japan because I was flying to India from the west coast of America, as I spent the first part of the summer in Tahoe, California. I loved it in Japan! I really enjoyed trying the new food and seeing and doing new things! I stayed up one night and went to a communal bath in Kyoto and was surprised to see how busy it was at 10 p.m.! At one point, I went into an electrified bath, and got the shock of my life! I also had fun exploring a bullet train, even as it sped along at 200 mph.
I also like to play soccer and squash. I play “travel” team soccer, for my town – which means that my team has to travel to other towns to play. In other words, I don’t get much of a break on Sundays because I have to go to my games. I also plan to play soccer for PDS. I don’t play squash seriously, although I enjoy playing with my friends.
In school, I enjoy arts classes. I have an outdoor drawing class, an Imovies class, and an art with technology class, all of which I look forward to. I really like to read. Some of my favorite series are: Artemis Fowl, The Hunger Games, and Alex Rider. Right now I’m thinking about reading a book called Gone, which a friend of mine showed me. I also play the piano.
