Blogging Challenge Week #7 By Adam

A Nonexistent Problem Aries’  (Zodiac Pun)

One of my favorite things about nature is definitely the sky. All things sky I love, but one of the greatest things about the sky happens during the night. If you haven’t caught my drift i’m talking about the stars. Not only are they very pretty but they also tell stories. These stories or not only awesome (in my opinion) but they also serve a purpose.

One of the things I LOVE about the stars are the Zodiacs. There are many different Zodiac’s for many different cultures. One of the Zodiac sets we use here are definitely one of my favorites. You find out your Zodiac by a certain gap in the month that’s for that Zodiac. Example: The Aries Zodiac is from March 21st to April 19th. There are 12 different Zodiac Signs and here is the chart and this is of some of the stars

Now as I said before there are different Zodiacs for different cultures, another one most of the world is affiliated with are the Chinese Zodiacs. Visit this page for some more pictures

They are basically the same thing but there’s an even more beautiful story than the other. The Story is, a handful of animals from all over the world Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar were the only ones who made it, not in that order to witness Buddha’s departure from Earth. I think it’s safe to say that we all wish we were born in the year of the Dragon (who wouldn’t want to be a Dragon am I right?) but you get what you get and you don’t get upset. Besides they’re actually pretty acurate, and if you chose to follow them they can help you throughout the course of your life. That goes for all Zodiac Sets by the way. There are many more that are very diverse and interesting, but I only chose two to share with you today. If you would like to learn about all the different Zodiacs just visit http://www.whats-your-sign.com/zodiac-sign-dates.html and http://www.dimension1111.com/astrology.html

Blogging Challenge Week # 5 Nutella By Olive

Nutella is a delicious chocolate hazelnut spread that people love!

Nutella was created back in 1806, when Napoleon tried to freeze out British commerce as a means to win the Napoleonic wars (and take over the world). The result was a disastrous and caused the cost of chocolate to skyrocket and left Piedmontese chocolatiers  in the lurch. Ever resourceful, chocolatiers in Turin started adding chopped hazelnuts to chocolate to stretch the supply as much as Possible . The ensuing deliciousness was a fateful paste dubbed “gianduia.”

Over a century later, chocolate again became expensive and scarce due to rationing in Europe during World War II. An Italian pastry maker named Pietro Ferrero once again turned to the mighty hazelnut for salvation in 1946 and created Pasta Gianduja, renamed “Nutella” in 1964.

My Last Post

It was very fun doing the blogging challenge and I loved doing week #7 with everyone. It was my favorite because we got to pick something that we were passionate about and write about it. It was fun to learn about blogging and I had fun blogging with you. This is week #7!

Final Blogging Challenge – Yasmeen

Taking part in the 2015 Blogging Challenge was a nice experience. There was always something new to do each week along with learning something new. I got to learn how to use Compfight, I learned how to make an avatar, I also learned a lot of new things from other people’s blogs. I liked visiting blogs because in about a week or two I had a response. My favorite Blogging Challenge was where we got to write a little about ourselves and then we got to make an avatar. I thought it was a nice way to express myself, and for everyone on edublogs to get to know me. This experience is one I will never forget. Hopefully I will get to use the skills I learned from the Blogging Challenge and use them again some day. Here is the link to my favorite post. Also, my class and I got nominated for Best Class Blog and Best Group Blog. Thanks for everyone who nominated us and don’t forget to vote here for Shirley’s 6th Grade Class.7201994-122599800_4-s1-v1

Final Blogging Challenge Post

My favorite week in the blogging challenge was week 4 because that was the week when we did the scary story post. It was my favorite week because I really like Halloween and I thought it was very interesting to read other people’s scary stories. I think the blogging challenge is a great activity because it’s a great chance to meet schools around the world. I think that overall it helps our minds because you have to make sure your comment or post is perfect because once you post that comment or post writing it’s on there forever.

I really liked the blogging challenge because it taught  me a lot about how to blog and I really enjoyed it. One thing that I really enjoyed was the one about halloween because that is my second favorite holiday. For the halloween blogging challenge I did The Scarred Man  and I really enjoyed it . This was a really great experience for me because I have never blogged in my life. I thank you for giving me a really good experience. Happy blogging and blog away.

This was a great experience for me, it helped me with writing and just in general. The way I think it helped me the most with writing is punctuation. The way it helped me in general is that now I am more open to my friends. Because I was as open as I could be on this blogging website. One of my favorite posts was blogpost number 5. I liked this one because I enjoyed learning about me and some of my classmates favorite foods. What I have learned from this that I can write more than I think. Because my limit used to be two paragraphs and that was it. But when I tried to write more I ended up with five paragraphs. I think I will always have the memory of doing the blogging challenge. Thank you for reading all of my blogs and Happy Blogging.

Last Blogging Challenge – By Aidan

Last Blogging Challenge

This year during the blogging challenge I had lots of fun and I learned a ton. My favorite was probably the week 7 challenge. I enjoyed it because it was basically a free write but you have to write about something from nature, and all information must be accurate. During the blogging challenge I learned about; how to blog, the planet mercury, about making little avatars, getting creative commons photos and I learned a lot more from other people’s blogs too. I have also learned that most people are very different online than in real life. Our blog got two nomination for the #eddies15. Please vote for us here

FINAL BLOGGING CHALLENGE

The blogging challenge was a really fun thing we did that I hope we could do other years too. Even though all of the challenges were super cool, my favorite would have to be the first one: All About You. In the All About You challenge, we had to make ourselves an avatar that relates to us as people. After that, we wrote a little bit about ourselves. I really enjoyed making the avatar and getting to try out all the different tools that we could use. I also really liked writing about myself. The main reasoning for that is, I know a lot about me, so it was easy to write!

In the course of the challenge, I learned how to leave positive comments instead of negative ones, I learned how to find other blogs and how to respond to posts, and I learned how to responsibly use a blog and create posts.

This is a picture of my avatar. I think it represents me because I’m a very funny person. I like to giggle, randomly crack jokes and make up puns, and smile.
