Christmas By Joanie

Hi,

My family tradition is, gathering with my family Christmas Eve and hanging out and talking. I get to open one present that night too!  Next morning when I wake up, I call my grandparents and tell them that they can come over now. When they arrive we all gather by the stockings and take down ours then open them! Then we walk to the Christmas tree and we each pick one of our gifts to open first! I always pick the biggest one first. After we open all of the gifts, we hang out by the tree for the rest of the day and have fun!

This was a great experience for me, it helped me with writing and just in general. The way I think it helped me the most with writing is punctuation. The way it helped me in general is that now I am more open to my friends. Because I was as open as I could be on this blogging website. One of my favorite posts was blogpost number 5. I liked this one because I enjoyed learning about me and some of my classmates favorite foods. What I have learned from this that I can write more than I think. Because my limit used to be two paragraphs and that was it. But when I tried to write more I ended up with five paragraphs. I think I will always have the memory of doing the blogging challenge. Thank you for reading all of my blogs and Happy Blogging.

One for the Murphy’s – Heroes – Ethan

Who do think are the heroes so far in One For The Murphys and why?

The heroes I think are in One for the Murphys are Carley for taking care of the boys especially Michael Eric and also Mrs. Murphy for taking Carley in from the foster home and caring for her. I would not forget Jack the firefighter as he rushes into burning buildings to save people or just put out the fire.

Japan By Mollie

On summer vacation I went to Japan: )

I went to Tokyo Disney Land and I had so much fun! My family and I saw a 3D show about a magical hat. It was really cool but it made me a little dizzy.. We also went on lots of rides. The best one was the car ride based on the movie “Who Framed Roger Rabit.” I can’t wait to go back next year.

We visited a town in Japan called Hacona. My great aunt came with us and we went on a hike to a volcano. There were lots of stores on the way to the top. We stopped at one store and ate some black eggs and black ice-cream. The eggs tasted like normal eggs and the ice-cream was vanilla flavored. After the hike we went on a pirate ship. It was on the lake near the volcano. We also went on a rope way. It was kind of scary. We stayed at a pretty good hotel, too and they had very good food there. We had all kinds of things like squid ink potato, small hamburgers and other things I can’t name. I wish I spent more time there. I hope I can stay in Japan longer next year.

I then went to my grandparents house. They live near the beach so we went swimming. It was very salty, but my dad said that the salt is good for me. After swimming we went back to my grandfather’s house and had a great dinner with my family. My aunt and uncle came and they brought some Iseshrimp. Iseshrimp is a very good shrimp that is similar to a lobster. It was my first time eating one. We also had a lot of other things like sushi, miso soup, and other Japanese foods.

I hope my grandparents are healthy and well the next time I see them.
