Week 9

Week 9 Part A

I went with my family to South Africa over a year ago. We went on safaris and saw so many animals and learned a lot about wildlife. We went on day and night safaris where we saw diurnal and nocturnal animals.

After our adventures with safaris, we went to Cape Town where we were able to interact with people who lived in townships. I met so many people and great kids who I had a lot in common with. Our lives were so different but we enjoyed the same thing. We love to dance! They taught me their gum boot style dance, then I taught them some hip hop and jazz dance.

I would absolutely love to go back and study more in depth about the life styles and dance from the South African culture. I will go back.

Future Me

I don’t really know what I’ll be like in the future. If I traveled forward in time there would be a few different things I would expect from myself. I would have expected “future me” to make a name for myself, so everyone would know who I was, in a good way, of course. I would expect to be a nice, loving and kind person and to have no enemies.

I would love to move to Paris, or Los Angeles and go to a great college. I want to go to a college that has a wonderful performing arts program, but also has a good education, so that I could be smart, and a performer. I think it’s important to get a good education before you try to become famous. Sometime once you’re famous you don’t have enough time to get educated as you did before. I think going to a college away from home would be a great opportunity. I would probably move somewhere in France, then maybe move back to the U.S later.

After doing all of that, I would want to be a famous actress, singer and dancer. I love watching shows like The Voice, and maybe I could go on that to be discovered. Being known by people for my performance would be a dream come true. I love singing now and I’m sure I would love it then. I guess you could compare who I want to be to a person like Jennifer Lopez . She is successful, a beautiful singer and a great actress. That’s what I want to be when I grow up.
